Nathan Kohrman is a writer covering medicine, politics, and culture.

His work covers topics from the collapse of rural emergency medical services to profiles of public figures like Adm. Rachel Levine and Rep. Robert Garcia. A former AmeriCorps VISTA and campaign field organizer, Nathan has also written about US Senator Kyrsten Sinema and the legacy of AIDS activism. His work has been published by the Atlantic, the New Yorker, the Washington Post, Mother Jones, and Slate.

Nathan is an incoming general surgery resident at New York Presbyterian/Columbia University Irving Medical Center. He has contributed to research on colorectal surgery and community-based participatory research. He is based in New York City.
